Cookie dough Greek yogurt?? Pinned it, ate it, loved it!

Of all the real sugar, real butter, brownies, cookies and cakes I have saved on Pinterest the pin for Greek Yogurt Cookie Dough was towards the bottom of my list of things to try. I'm a "if you're going to eat someting sweet you might as well go all the way" kind of girl.

However I am sooo glad I tried it because its really good! And it really does taste like cookie dough, this is a perfect post workout snack ( CycleYou kicked my butt today) thanks girlgonecountry.com for this tasty and healthy treat!

Kitchen Tips and Tricks - how to clean your cast iron skillet - via Pinterest

Home alone and it's freezing outside, the snow is falling - what better to do then curl up on the couch with Pinterest.  My New Years plan was to get off the couch and start testing out some of the my pins. These are some no brainer kitchen tips and trips - seriously how did I not think of these???

We cook a lot in our cast iron skillet - it just taste better that way. Chicken, bacon, steaks, bacon, bacon.... seeing a pattern? But cleaning it is obviously not as fun as cooking with it. Until, thank you Martha Stewart and Pinterest, you can clean this baby with salt. And it works like a dream! Southern girls know you shouldn't clean your cast iron with soap and never ever ever put it in the dishwasher.

Via MarthaStewart.com - Here's the best way to clean cast iron: Scrub it with coarse salt and a soft sponge. The salt, a natural abrasive, absorbs oil and lifts away bits of food while preserving the pans seasoning. Rinse away salt and wipe dry.

Let's back up - before you can scrub your cast iron, you need to drain the fat from it (another new years resolution I'm still working on - less fat) Lovely thought huh - dispose of the fat swimming in your pan.. ugh. However it's another "why didn't I think of that" moment. Put aluminum foil in a bowl, pour the grease in. When it hardens, roll up the foil and throw it out!

who wants to break out in their 20's ( ugh almost 30!)

I was lucky enough to not have problem skin when I was a teenager but for some reason my skin has decided to freak out now - I'm almost 30.. REALLY!!!!

I've tried perscriptions, drugstore brands, chemical peels ( which realy do work!) and everything else.  Until now - I have found the perfect cocktail my my skin to be clear. And with our wedding coming clear skin in a must!!!

If you are like me, I hope this helps :)

“Anyone who thinks it’s hard to find the perfect man has never had to find the perfect dress.” - Dorothy Parker

I read somewhere that your wedding dress is the single most important piece of clothing a woman will ever wear, while I compleatly agree, it did make my heart skip a beat or two. No stress right.
But just like you are supposed to with they guy - when you see the right one you'll just know - I think I found "the" dress... and here's a few of my favorites.

364 Days and counting!!

If it's not moving... Monogram it!

There's a lot that goes into a wedding; the dress, the flowers, the band, the groom and so on but I'm really excited about my new monogram. I really love personal touches, something that makes it yours and nothing does that quite like a monogram.  I have been one of those girls over the past year that has put off  monogramming anything because I was secretly (or not so secretly) hoping that my monogram would change.

I've stalked Allison Banks for months, her work is absolutely amazing!! And it must have been fate that Camille brought me a copy of Garden and Gun with her personalized stamp (must have) a few days after Rob and I got engaged.

What's the rule on including the groom? Do you need one with just your own initials?

I can not wait to see what she puts together for me and here are a few of my favorites.

Big News!

Hey babe, I thought you might like to wear this today - Rob

The moment that changed it all, this is how Rob proposed to me - followed by a "will you marry me" of course! While I'm sleepy and on my way out the door for work he was walking downstairs to get a "cup of coffee" and came back with this beautiful ring!!! I can't believe my first few words were "are you sure" and "is it real" but I did squeak out a YES! We are so excited to start the planning of our big day and the rest of our lives.
